Launched by 24 year old football enthusiasts Irfan Khatri and Ronak Daftary, Super Soccer Tournament aims to fill the void in the field of Football tournaments in India. Super Soccer Tournament began with 8 teams made up of 120 players competing against each other to win the championship title. With internationally renowned sponsors including Jet Airways and McDonalds, the tournament was frequently highlighted and covered by the media. A percentage of proceedings were donated to The Western India Football Association (WIFA), the governing body of football in Maharashtra, for the development of football for the under privileged.

Challenges and Insights:

Posted by Samara collaborated with another digital agency to maximize the reach of Super Soccer Tournament. To differentiate it from other tournaments, brand communication ideas were customized to a local scale to reach other soccer enthusiasts and draw in a live audience for the games. Schedules and games were chronicled on platforms including Instagram, Facebook, Facebook Live and a YouTube channel. Each one of these mediums were a unique opportunity for us to not only foster a relationship with viewers, but to keep up the legacy for future tournament seasons and sports.
